About Ivy
Ivy Cotler started her niche catering business specializing in delivered, low-fat vegetarian home-cooked entrees, in 1992.
On Thursdays of each week, entrees - ordered on Mondays - are delivered to home or office throughout the Eugene, Oregon area. She serves a different entree every week and updates, reposts, and distributes her menu every two months. Since then, Ivy expanded her product offerings to include her culinary boutique - a special list of homemade jams, desserts, dressings, and chutneys, seasonal veggie baskets and gift certificates. She has even been known to offer special event catering services for those who want others to enjoy her menu offerings.
A growing interest in healthful eating and convenience has been an important part of
the growth and interest in Ivy’s Cookin’. The business started out serving approximately
10 customers per week and now provides 30 – 40 customers per week with entrees.
Ivy’s Cookin’ began when owner, Ivy Cotler, transitioned out of a career as a Forest
Service Hydrologist in 1992.
"My interest in food began as a child, watching my father create wonderful meals. I also enjoyed hanging out with my Russian grandmother while she cooked, listening to her stories and absorbing her culinary secrets. For me, cooking is an art and a gift. I enjoy the creativity of exploring new recipes and find it very gratifying to present busy folks with the gift of time through fresh and nutritious meals. So be a guest in your own home. Take a break... Let me do the cooking!"
Ivy’s Cookin’ supports the community by donating meals to organizations that include: Birth to Three, HIV Alliance, Womenspace, Relief Nursery, Hopeline
